Lakers’ Larry Nance Jr. out with a concussion

first_imgLakers forward Larry Nance Jr. was diagnosed with a concussion after diving for a looseball early in Sunday’s game against the Phoenix Suns on Sunday at Staples Center.Nance will not play for the remainder of the second half and in Tuesday’s game against the Dallas Mavericks at Staples Center.According to the NBA’s concussion protocol policy, players must pass a series of tests symptom free, including stationary bike, light jogging, running, jumping and agility drills, team drills with limited contact and returning to the court without limitations. Nance can begin those drills as early as 24 hours after his concussion.Although he stayed in the game to hit a pair of free throws, Nance stayed on the Lakers bench for the second quarter.
