first_img The Charity Commission is from today adding more information to the online Register of charities, making it clearer where a charity has been the subject of an inquiry or regulatory case report, or where an interim manager is in place.Where a charity has been the subject of an inquiry report or a regulatory case report, a link from the charity’s entry on the online Register of charities will take you to the relevant document. This link will remain for six months, the length of time that inquiry reports and regulatory case reports already stay on the Commission’s website. This will indicate whether the appointment is to the exclusion of other trustees.Andrew Hind, Chief Executive of the Charity Commission said: “This is all part of the Commission’s drive to make information about charities more accessible, particularly to the public”.The Commission has found that whilst the majority of visitors are staff or volunteers for charities, one in five visitors are members of the public, and the top reason for visiting is to find information on charities. As at 12 June 2009, there were nine inquiry reports for charities and two regulatory case reports available on the Commission website.www.charitycommission.gov.uk AddThis Sharing ButtonsShare to TwitterTwitterShare to FacebookFacebookShare to LinkedInLinkedInShare to EmailEmailShare to WhatsAppWhatsAppShare to MessengerMessengerShare to MoreAddThiscenter_img  20 total views,  1 views today AddThis Sharing ButtonsShare to TwitterTwitterShare to FacebookFacebookShare to LinkedInLinkedInShare to EmailEmailShare to WhatsAppWhatsAppShare to MessengerMessengerShare to MoreAddThis About Howard Lake Howard Lake is a digital fundraising entrepreneur.
