With Roosevelt Collier’s New York Get Down coming into New York, NY tonight, March 12th, we just couldn’t contain our love for all of Collier’s super jamming. The pedal steel “Dr.” will be bringing members of Dopapod and Turkuaz to DROM, tonight, for one night only, so don’t miss out on the fun.If their show is anything like it was in Buffalo, NY a few days ago, where they performed a cover of Radiohead’s “Weird Fishes / Arpeggi” at the Iron Works (Watch it here), fans are certainly in for a treat. Collier’s NY Get Down features Rob Compa, Eli Winderman, Michelangelo Carubba, and Taylor Shell, and we can’t wait for the action! To celebrate, we’re turning it back to Collier’s recent “Get Down,” a fun-filled Colorado performance at the Barkley Ballroom in Frisco, CO. There, Collier performed alongside Bill Nershi (String Cheese Incident), Alwyn Robinson (Leftover Salmon) and Josh Fairman (Kinetix, Analog Son). Enjoy some full set video action below:The Roosevelt magic was far from over, as later that weekend, Collier made appearances with Sister Sparrow & The Dirty Birds as well as G. Love & Special Sauce. Here he is sitting in on Doobie Brothers’ classic “Long Train Runnin,” at Cervantes on 2/19, below:And here’s Collier jamming out with G. Love & Special Sauce at the Ogden Theatre, alongside another special guest: DJ Logic. Enjoy:There’s just no telling how much fun a Roosevelt Collier Get Down will be!
